Wheelchair Basketball is one of the largest leading international Paralympic Sports, played by people with a wide range of physical impairments. These include; paraplegia, spina bifida, amputees, brittle bones, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, polio, and many more.

Not all players are daily wheelchair users, so even if you use crutches or other mobility aids, as long as you can self -propel a wheelchair and are able to take instructions from coaching staff, you too can get involved.

Choice International is a UK based international development organisation, promoting CSR, Diversity and Inclusion in the UK and Overseas.
YWTC (Yes We Too Can)is a Charitable Trust based in Chennai, Tamilnadu, which aims to inculcate a feeling among PWDs that they too are active members of society. YWTC have identified sport as an ideal tool for this, with the Founder being a National Paralympic Swimmer in India. They have been encouraging and supporting PWDs, specifically those with physical impairments, to maintain their health, wellbeing and self-esteem via participation in sports.
